According to Rocky Mountain PBS in their article “Colorado votes to enshrine same-sex marriage in constitution,” a large number of individuals voted in order to remove the state’s definition of marriage as one man and one woman from the constitution.
“More than 60% of voters, amounting to upwards of 1.4 million people, voted to ‘repeal the state’s constitutional definition of marriage as ‘a union of one man and one woman,’” Rocky Mountain PBS said.
